    On this video he's advocating having a bit of an angle going down into the white, yet I've also seen the other one where people advocate getting the cue as level as possible to the bottom of the ball so its not angled. He mentions that's more likely to cause a scoop shot.

    Thought on this?

    Everyone scoops the ball from time to time on screwshots regardless, just always thought that having the cue as level as possible to the white was the accepted way of doing it.

    I play things like deep screw with as level as possible cue but I think it depends on bridge hand to cue ball and acceleration in the delivery of the cue and over all cue action to perfect a shot like that

      Re the golf analogy: the golf ball runs up the face when being squeezed and pops out the top. I'm not too sure how this works with a snooker cue.
