swing your wrist during your cue action ( like Jimmy does ) and Change your grip and try to stop the cue at the end of your delivery with your back 3 fingers (thump lose). Your arm should stop by toching the chest, but your wrist will follow the cue and give the cue chanse to go through.
( just like Ronni's cue action ) . My brother does the same .

tbh, I gave this advice to a player awhile ago and it did help him completely to get rid of the yips.

However, I have to say, asking someone changing a part of his technique could also be the worst advice to that person . because this could ruin and destroy his game totaly . ( any coach in the world would disagree with me on this one ) .

SO, whether you give it a try or not ,, it's up to you Marc !!
I hope you get sorted out asap !! :snooker:
    Interesting exercise and points.

I will go and ponder; I don't think it's too risky for me as parts of my game are non existent so not a lot to lose!

especially if you do it during the practice time , than you have nothing to lose !!

You can see that Pro's doing that during the match sometimes. (especially when they feel lots of pressure). This usually happens after they have managed a frame winning break. and they are sure they already have won the frame. commentators calling it exhibition shots.
they are doing it to get red of the tension in their arm and muscles. ( and tension could be one of the biggest causes of yips ) .
Play the power shots as effortless as you can and try to get the CB back in position for the next ball via cushions !!

I found this in my brothers video library in slow motion !! ( something like this ) .
every time you feel the yips , try as many shots as you can until you get rid of the tension in your arm .
you can find better E.gs on youtube from Ronni . If you can find them in slow motion , that would be even better .

Goodluck anyway . and if this does'nt work out for you , please do'nt get mad on me !!

            Your a slim dude, buddy.

On your delivery see the CB just as a harmless wee bubble. You will glide through it then

I've found the best way to overcome this is to imagine your tip hitting the object ball on all shots. The cueball as a bubble might work too but my advice would be to comcentrate on the OB at time of strike and try and hit it with the cue.

I actually resemble a straw swallowing a spacehopper at times but thanks for trying.

I will put that on the list for tomorrow if I can get to the practice table.

This has been suggested Terry and it sounds interesting so if I can get some practice tomorrow I will certainly give it a go along with Ramon's suggestion.

Could it be related to tightening your grip before delivery?

I've found that when I get tight, my back swing gets shorter and I start tightening my grip too early. I can usually fix this by using a 6 inch back swing, relaxing my hand through the delivery and let it the grip close naturally, and accelerating the cue through the ball. This usually fixes follow through issues for me.

I also like Terry's suggestion at trying to hit the object ball with the tip of my cue.

I have been doing this for some years and it works for me
