Massive flaw in cue action?

Last i was trying blue from it's spot to the middle with an angle where you have to hit just topspin to go "around the houses"
This was working out ok but when i changed to the other side of the table to pot the blue into the opposite middle i couldn't pull it off since the cueball always checked off indicating that i hit with lots of left hand unintended side. Far as i am concerned i am aiming exacly in the middle.

You seem to have already identified the problem, if youre adding side then correct your aim on the cue ball, Back to the up and down middle spots you go
