After stating that I haven't even seen a real snooker table yet in another thread
, I found out that there actually is a snooker table in the research center where I work. There is even a guy who is a EBSA certified coach, but of course he charges quite a lot for lessons and I really can't afford that on a regular bases. But I'd also really want to learn how to play if I have the opportunity here. The problem is that I don't know what the best way to start is if you don't even know how to hold a cue... Take some lessons for the absolute basics and then try to go on alone? Or is there no point in that? Any suggestions? It is really a pity that they don't have a beginners course there.
