just played 5 frames match this afternoon.i won 2-0 first and made 50+ break..then on the 3rd frame..i missed the last black and i suddenly became down and my opponent whitewashed me 3 frames in a row.then i lost 2-3!oh my god!!can u believe it???.on the 3rd,4th and the 5th frame..i just made max 15 break..i dont know why..i always feel compassion on my opponent and felt so frustated..and when i was down..i even missed a lot of simple shots..i was totally down..anyone here got tips about how to be "hungry" in potting every ball?and not to feel compassion on my opponent..his face is so cute and he almost cried when i beat him 2-0 first..so i was too relax and i felt i was on top..so i gave him chance by chance..

Clear your mind of everything and as said above just think balls and play the balls. If you have mortgage arrears or have just been sacked or have a painful ingrowing toe nail or think you left the gas on or can't remember if you put the cat out or anything else that means you cannot put all your focus in to the game you won't play to your fullest potential and this in itself will cause your game to decline the more you continue. Prepare mentally and physically for the match. I always do a bit of excercise to get the arms loosened and make sure I have all my other 'tasks' out the way so I can give 100% concentration.

Just play the game and not the player. Breathe in, breathe out, sometimes it's best to concentrate on the simple things.

Yes it's a shame, he really is a good player. It may sound odd, but he tries too hard - but it isn't his natural game (unlike a player like Ebdon), he seems to peform better when he doesn't think as much, or ponder his shots for as long. Sometimes he takes a long time, but then loses concentration when he actually plays the shot, which obviously the important part.
Anyway, I wouldn't worry for him, after all he reached the Quarter-final of the Shanhai Masters.
Anyway, maybe he is a player whos not 'hungry' on the shot. Sorry that was bad. I like Stephen Lee but can't stop making unfair jokes about him!'I'm nuts,' - Ronnie O'Sullivan
