I Think you have misinterpreted what i mean about mirror image. by this i mean any movement right or left and up and down will be mirrored in the follow through. it is quite normal for a player to have a 5" backswing with a 7" follow through. You will also find that most players will find their optimum cue speed this will allow them to create different lengths of backswings for different shots and not all the players will be the same.
