  • Wooldridge cues. Your opinions please..

    Hi

I am thinking of buing a Mike Wooldridge cue (possibly the pro 5) and I am wondering if you people have any experiences in MikeĀ“s cues?
I have only heard good things about them but it would be interesting to hear some more detailed descriptions of how they play, balance, feel compared to other brands.
I play with a Lewis & Wilson cue that I am pretty happy with and had for about 7 yrs. Is it worth changing it to a Wooldridge? or should one stick to the same cue....

Email Mike through his website, I am sure he will be able to sort any issues out for you, you don't get, if you don't ask.

I have a 1 piece maple mike wooldrige cue 2006. Had 2 get 1 after seeing and playing with my mates 1 piece wooldridge. Seen cues by all the top makers and wooley wooldridge cues are the best ive held, feel, finish etc.. 3 of us in my team have his cues and he's a legend in our club. Had a parris cue that bent like a arabs dagger and 4 such a hand made cue the machine marks on the ebony set the alarm bells ringing.... But thats only a personal opinion and with so many of the top players using his wonds who could argue? Not many wooldridge cues 4 sale on ebay, think that sez it all tho....Got a 1 piece ash master cue which i played with 4 a cuple of years and i would highly recomend them... Alot of good cue makers around at the minute tho so think its case of what u place in your bridge hand but ive yet 2 see poor wooldrige cue, his cues r the best ive seen so far....

I use a Hunt & O'Byrne I have had for many years. I have had Aeon cues played with Parris cues and just about every other cue you could mention. (not TW tho).

I have seen three Wooldridge cues and barring H & O have never seen three examples of work from ANY cuemaker as good as these. If I was going to change my cue, I would go nowhere else but Wooldridge.

            Obviously that's just an opinion.
