          I had a 140 total clearance in the line-up but that doesn't count as a ton :-)

Hi Del, I keep hearing about running or helping side for long-pots to make the shot easier. Can you shed any light on this.

Well Dan most of the pros tend to play with helping side its just a natural thing .plane ball up and down the white is ok aslong as you are hitting centre.the problem is if in practice you play with the side naturally then in a match you alter and try to play plane ball you can come unstuck. Also when playing with the side you have to allow for the throw and on the differant cloths this can be differant .All i can say really is to practice both and also try the check side aswell .happy potting mate .

                      Hi,

Can you define what you feel 'helping side' means?

And also, can you define why it is a 'natural' thing?

                      Thanks.

Hi Dan helping side means simply if a player has a pot say off to his left helping side would mean cueing the cue ball with right hand side and vise versa .Natural thing just means a player does it naturally .

                          Hi Del,

I have a question for you. I play lefthanded and i have strong right eye. Should i try to tilt my head to left to get the cue running under my right eye or should i try to keep my head straight and move the cue under my right eye?

hi juza as you aproach the shot put your tip to the cue ball then as you are approx 10cm above your cue sight your shot this is done in a split second then put your chest contact point to the cue .This will enable you to be sighting your shot naturally .if your head tilts or do esnt whatever is your natural way of sighting .As a matter of fact Ronnie is r handed but slightly left eyed dominant .With sighting it is an individual thing in short if it works for you its right .happy potting bud all the best Del .
