  • long sleeve shirts and T shirts when playing

I noticed that in professional games all pros wear long sleeve shirts when playing. I find that T-shirts are a lot more comfortable and i play even better with T shirts than long sleeve.....for some shots when you require stretching your long sleeve shirt can tighten up your body.....do you feel the same? Do you think pros can play even better when they wear T shorts rather than long sleeves shirts?

I prefer long sleeve tops/shirts, whenever I play in a t-shirt it just feels strange. Its what you get used to I suppose, each to their own though.

I don't like playing in a proper shirt.

Most polo shirts are alright but sometimes the buttons get in the way

I am more relaxed in Polo shirts and casual clothes than wearing waistcoats and long sleeve shirts. I find wearing the long sleeve shirt and waistcoat etc makes me nervous because it is what you wear in competitions!

I still don't get why are the players forced to use waistcoats. It's something that have not been worn for decades and they look like waiters. Nevermind the silly bowtie.

the players shirt sleeves are longer than normal so they don't ride up so much, as are the waistcoats whaich are longer than a standard waistcoat for the same reason

Actually waistcoats are right back in fashion!
                They're all over the place.
Not a big lover of the bow tie though.
Back either back to the lounge suit for the day sessions or just have the shirt for the pro's.

Do the pros still have to have a doctors note to not have to wear a tie or have they got ound that rule now as many seem to have shirts with collars 4 sizes too big?

I think Maguire still gets a note, he's the only one who doesn't wear it in the majors I think!
One year everyone got a note didn't they I think this was stopped.

Maguire has a neck rash as you probably know and doesn't need a tie for that reason.

If you must play in a long sleeve shirt wear one 1 size larger. more room around the neck & shoulders. A vest helps to retain the front of the shirt ballooning out and fouling any balls you are leaning over.

In practice I always wear a t-shirt, feels a lot better than longsleeves.

Yes I know what you mean, but a week before a tournament where long sleeves are mandatory I practise in a long sleeve shirt.
