Looking for coach in halesowen, Dudley area

Hi all I live in halesowen west midlands I am 28 years young and a am looking to get some snooker lessons I used to play snooker once or twice a week with a friend about 5/6 years ago I also used to play pool for a couple of pub teams I think my highest snooker break is only about 30 odd but I would like to really get to a good standard and maybe enter a snooker league eventually

Hi there mate, to be honest I have not played for a long time now, I used to play weekly at Rileys when it was above the Moor shopping centre in Brierley Hill but it closed about two years ago now. I Have never been to or seen the one near Benjamins is that where te gym used to be and is it a private one or Rileys or anyone like thats.

the gyms still there you go in that like lobby up the starirs then along a corridor and the door to it is in front of you its privately owned 12 membership 130 in if not member
410 an hour bit steep but on daytimes in week and on sat its 7 all day

Theres also one in rowley regis the golden cue 8 membership 1 in if not member
380 an hour on nights and weekends 250 an hour in daytime of week (till 4)

Ive just started highest break 16 2 reds 2 blacks would be interested in a bit of coaching if you find anybody

£7 all day on weekends is good how many tables is there and what are the like ? Take a look at the thread below about a coach in Manchester some on there suggested a coach from bilston to me but I don't have any info on the guy

There are about 15 maybe a few more all in pretty good condition

who do you practice with now? i get bored really easily on my own i normally play with my dad but he doesnt have the time to play as much as i want to especially on the sat daytime

oh yeah forgot to say when i was playing today they totally re did a few tables to be match tables to use these you only have to pay an extra 3 quid if your doin the all day for 7

like you im just starting back into the game more and trying to improve my game.

I used to play at rileys in brierley hill but that stopped when it closed down.

Now its reopened but unber a different name still about the same prices and not much has changed in there by the looks of it.

I did play at the club down stallings lane in kingswingford acouple of times

Now i play in a small club in pensnett, Its not a big place but its more than enough for me.

I play on my own still at the moment im still trying to get my snooker back up to a ok level.

Do you know the brierley hill area at all, well im not far from there, Im just down the road from russells hall hospital

Yeah i know russels hall i live in quinton right by the hagley road so easy to get to anywhere really on public transport as i dont drive what sort of level you at what are your highest and average breaks?

When i used to go with my old man years ago i think i was getting breaks of around 20-30 or so.

But now at the moment im lucky to get up past 10, I havent been for ages you see and have just started playing once a week again while the misses is out on a monday night.

The problem i have is not so much as poting a red is getting a good position on a colour after, i need to find some good training methods on getting the white more controled and to get it to go there i need it to go

Yeah ive only been playing for just over a week properley so gonna get some more practice going on saturday for a good few hours definately have a game soon even if it is just someone to practice against

same here mate i played one of the local guys that goes to the club the other night and beat him 2 frames to 1 it was a good practise for me.
