  • Ten-year-old makes half-century break

Ten-year-old Mickey Joyce today became the second youngest member in the 22-year history of Chandler's Ford Snooker Club to record a half-century break in competition.

He made a 54 in the Eastleigh & District Under-18 League against Jeremy Chislett on Table 3.

No prizes for guessing that Shane Castle was the youngest. He made a century before his tenth birthday.

I have just had the pleasure of playing a few frames with Mickey and have to say I found him to be a really nice lad with stacks of talent who has a clear hunger for the game. If he keeps these attributes I can see him definitely one to watch for the future!
