It’s more about keeping the cabin from the extremes I would say! I went with an electric aircon/heating/dehumidifier unit, again it works via WiFi and during the winter I would have it programmed to come on every 3 hours for 20mins to keep the room temperature from dropping below say 14/15 degrees. In addition I covered the table with two king size duvets which actually works brilliantly combined with the under table heating! I keep the table heating set to 22degrees when not in use and when I fancy a game I turn it to 25/26, which is just slightly warm to the touch when placing your hand on the cloth. The slates hold onto the heat very well so the heat panels aren’t working 24/7 which helps keep the bills down I guess.

What insulation does your cabin come with?

I find the table seems to play very consistent when you consider it’s in a garden shed, the table heating and the duvets I think are essential during the winter for keeping the cushions warm. Initially I used to get loads of kicks and heavy contacts, I swapped to Taom chalk and now I rarely get any bad contacts!

I'm not sure of the thickness but it comes with roof and floor insulation so that should definitely help, can I be cheeky and ask how much your air con heater dehumidifier costs, and the square meters you've got to heat, I'm just trying to work out as many options as I can and hadn't thought of that, I'm hoping to get permission to do 10 x 6m so I've got enough room for a bar and a dart board, if budget allows I'll definitely go for the under table heating

Well spotted Dean ,I was hoping someone would notice that ,the Mrs got me a new case from Dave last year for my birthday and the cue wouldn’t quite fit ,so Dave modified it at the top and bottom so it just goes in snuggly.

The unit I went with was 12000 BTU unit, heats up to 30m2 and it does it easily. Cost me 500 notes

Lol that’s a great line Cue Crafty ,love it . I’ve used the same cue for so long now I think I would struggle for some time if I had to use a new one .Dave gets the cue once a year for an overhaul and service so hopefully it will be with me for a long time to come
