If you still have it, try again with a completly clean tip. The chunks are only build, when "normal" and this chalk are coming together. You need to remove all stains of old chalk before using Taom. At least, that was my experience and the answer from Taom, when I asked with identical issue.
I can say now, I do not regret switching, even though my play did not improve magically But the table is much cleaner and the white has close to no stains at all. When playing an evening with a partner that uses Taom as well, the table has no visible chalk rests.
In addition:
I payed 15β¬ for my first Taom, that was much, but the only way to get it. The second I asked in the club and we bought together a bigger pack, that was 10β¬ each. And they last longer than a year, if you do not break or lose them. The first one was lost (or stolen) at a tournament, the second is now close to 2 years usage, with half a year corona break. The spare one is untouched ever since.
What is really annoying, that there is only few clips available. I printed one with my 3D printer, that is quite okay. Fits on my old magnetic belt clip and does its job for a long time now.
Thanks for that, I will endeavour to try again once my V2 green runs out.
After much trying of various versions of Taom Iβve gone back to triangle . Yes I get the occasional kick but I just experienced too many miscues which always seemed to happen at important times when on decent breaks ( worst one in the 70βs with 5 reds plum all around the black ).
It started to play on my mind so Iβve gone back .
Got given a piece of Taom v10 to try today, green , seems nowhere near as claggy as the blue pyro, not had a miscue with it but there again never had a miscue with the pyro either.
I've been trying Taom V10 for the last week and I have to say, I am mightly impressed. I tried their V1 and V2 and gave up with them due to mis-cues. They seem to have nailed the formula with V10 and none of the chalk ends up on the cueball at all which means after a session, the rest of the balls don't have marks on them and look very shiny and clean. The grip on the V10 is brilliant and no mis-cues so far or kicks. I have been using Russian Magic chalk for the last 2 or 3 years but V10 is the new standard for me and my snooker partner.

I have found almost zero chalk on the table either. With the pyro you got little flakes on the table, I haven't seen anything with this new v10.
Iβm tempted now to try the V10 , while Iβm not getting many kicks with the Triangle itβs the mess it leaves on the table after previously using Taom.
Itβs those miscues while on big breaks that still haunt me though

Yeh I can really understand the mental aspect of those miscues, but because everyone is saying the grip on V10 is so much better it's a must try now I think. I love the way the table stays clean and the residue left on cue after a few hours play is so much less as well. Id got to stage with Triangle where once it was worn down about a quarter I'd throw them away because I hated the crater you make in it and then have to start turning your cue on its side and twiddling the chalk to cover the tip etc, annoying! The Taom wears down beautifully and evenly and never wears your ferrule or the wood below.
