I had to pester my gp for eight years for an x-ray for my left hip and knee, that was in june last year and I still haven't been informed of the results. This pandemic is allowing the NHS to put such issues to one side for as long as they please imo so don't hold your breath.
Many years ago I put my back out at work, gp and physio couldn't help me so I went to a chiropractor and he x-rayed me straight away and revealed two misplaced vertebrae in my back and two in my neck that had been displaced many years previously in a motorbike accident that I walked away from so wasn't treated for. It took ten years of manipulation at twenty quid a month to finally free them all as they had almost fused into place. That first neck crack frightened me to death as I thought he'd broken it
Speak up, you've got to speak up against the madness, you've got speak your mind if you dare
but don't try to get yourself elected, for if you do you'll have to cut your hair

Jeez, mate. you had it bad didn't you.😮
How has that affected your snooker?
I've had some good news (hopefully).
i decided to email my doctor (as have to at the moment), and told him of my plight lol
He then replied with something that excited me.
He said that the surgery now has a specialist muscular-skeletal (MSK) practitioner as well as arranging scans and referrals at the practice who can treat me.
I have an appointment for next Thursday for assessment etc.
I'm very excited by this, as looks like I might get some relief at last.
Watch this space.😃
I am 69 and still play to century break standard but I do get a bad neck after I have played for a couple of hours or so and then just have to put up with it. It then lasts a couple of days until I play again and so on.
in your case it seems a bigger problem. Ideally you need the problem fixed. I didn’t see the other posts that suggest osteopathic treatment. That might work.
Do you wear snooker glasses ? If not they might help you to see properly without bending your neck too much.
Otherwise I think it’s a case of getting your back lower down by bending both legs. You won’t need to bend your neck quite as much.
Good luck with it 👍
I'm 74 and nowhere near your standard (66 max break )
I've played for years at a local league standard, and still not improved 🙄
My neck started playing up around 15 years ago, and like you I just put up with it, but unfortunately, it has got worse to the state of interfering with my sleep at night.
Like I've said b/4 I've tried chiro and ostio, but couldn't keep it up on my pension (sob, sob lol).
That's why I've got excited by the new MSK team through the NHS this coming Thursday.
I will let you all know the outcome 😉
Again...Thank you all for your concern.
PS, I'd dearly love to be able to play again b/4 I'm in the box. lol
Well, I saw the NHS Physio, but he turned out to be just like the others I saw years ago.
Asked me some questions looked at my neck and gave me some exorcises to do.
Then said if there's no relief after 6 weeks, make an appointment again. I came away very disappointed.
So I booked an appointment with a private physio, who did some manipulation on the neck (was quite painful|).
He then gave me a better exercise to do which made more sense.
I feel it's improved a tad, but a bit of a way to go yet, seeing him next week again.
I guess you get what you pay for.😊
Me again 🤣
Went to the private physio last Saturday, who actually worked on my neck, and gave me a couple of different exercises to do
Am doing the exercises and have another appointment tomorrow
Still have pain, but it seems a tad better.
Whatever he did it's left me with a bit of pain down my left arm.
No pain, no gain maybe?🙄
