    Hello members,

Names Chris and I'm returning to the game properly after a 10-year absence. I've always played at an ok standard over the years, but I've decided to take it pretty seriously and even dabbled in some coaching when money allows as it does cost a fair bit especially in this day and age.

I've set myself a goal of a half century by my 32nd birthday which is just under a year away as I have just turned 31, my previous high break has been a few points over 50 points however this was in a practice line-up. I have seen 40's on the odd occasion in match play usually with my dad but as I say this is quite a rare occasion. Ill be sure to get some videos up and no doubt you guys will give me a few pointers as the coaching I mentioned above has really thrown my game, but I'll save that for another post.

Look forward to my time on the forum and ill keep everyone up to date on my progress and also offer my own advice when i feel it would be useful to someone.

Glasgow and surrounding members say hello as I would eventually like the opportunity to meet fellow members for a knock around.

    Chris.

Welcome Chris. Good luck with the 50. Who did you go to for coaching? I saw Jim Donnelly about 10 years ago. Really helped me. What cue are you using?

Im useing a Pearadon Cue nothiong special but I liked the feel and the weight of it so ive stuck with it.

As for coaching it was Jim i saw myself and I really like his methods but this time he changed the position i hold the cue to give me more of a backswing. it did see some improvement although im really struggling with it now, maybe its down to not practising it enough as ive struggled for time to get to the club.
