Hello all, first sorry if i write some mistakes because my English is not so great.. so correct me if i write something wrong ,so I can learn more..
I will be polite and introduce myself..
Short story : I'm living in Belgium and i'm now 60 years old and played in the 80-ties and early 90-ties snooker at a reasonably level (for Belgium standards)
Now after more then 20 years without the snooker (divorce and work related issues and grown-up kids) I'm picking up again with snooker..
First problem to start again was to find a good cue and that's not so easy in Belgium.
So I have ordered a cue at Greenbaize ,and they were very helpful with their advice and so I'm picking up tomorrow at a DHL servicepoint a Maximus legend plus..
I hope ,I have made a good choice and we will see how I get along with the cue...
I have played last week a few frames with a cue form the shelf and I did managed to make a 2 little breaks (20 and 23)
After that i thought that I would be easy to picking up the game, but I was very wrong.. I was missing most of the times the easiest shots...
Cue action was crap and long shots was even more crap... So, 2 feet on the ground and starting from 0..
The next weeks I'm going to practice on my own and it will a long way to level up... priority is enjoying and then see how fast I can get more confidence and start potting balls again..
thanks for reading and I hope to find here sometimes useful information...
