I remember once I gave a lad I thought was ok an old cue of mine, said he could give me £20 for it (bargain) after giving him lifts to league nights and subbing him a drink here and there, I never did see that £20.... I decided never seeing him again was worth the £20 I never got and I let him go.

It was a great decision - so for what it's worth... It's ok to let some idiots leave your life!

We are playing a session of snooker this friday and i decided that we are going to play the one snooker rule (1 attempt to get out) because i said to him that if you can beat me with that rule then ill hold my hands up and we'll play unlimited attempts untill snookers required so i guess ill have an update on saturday, im pretty confident that he wont also when i did say lets play the 1 attempt rule as do every other snooker clubs im pretty sure because we cant replace the balls in the exact place he then said to me 'why dont we replace the baulk colours with pink blue black and smash the pink into the reds' its pretty clear to me that he knows thats what his whole game is based on

He's not your friend, if he was he would take what you want into account as well and not just insist on getting his own way.
So what if he thinks he's got one over you, you are both relatively poor players, no offence, so what, apart from your own egos, is it that is he proving?
This is how you play darts ,MVG two nines in the same match!

You my friend have summed it up perfectly ive said to him countless times lets concentrating on break building and potting and making high breaks but nope he just loves making a break of 9 and then snookers galore so i dont know what to do

Everytime i do say that he says snookers are part of the game which it is of course no dispute about that but like i said if he cant pot 4 balls in a row then whats the point?

Refuse point blank that's not where the cue ball was originally, get him to keep moving it a tad left, right, back, forwards, diagonally anywhere, make sure any object balls near the ball on are moved as well in your escape attempt and do the same with them. He'll get the message.
Speak up, you've got to speak up against the madness, you've got speak your mind if you dare
but don't try to get yourself elected, for if you do you'll have to cut your hair
