World trophy not in view in the final

I was at the Crucible on Sunday and noticed the trophy was not left in view throughout the final as it has for many years previously. Why is it now not left in view anyone know?

Security I suppose, was it not near the marker's booth?

Not sure didn’t see it once the match started. Must be a security thing like you said. Shame because the final always felt different when you could see what they were playing for.

Hi there..the set had been raised to make it difficult for anyone attempting what happened last year..the trophy on its usual plinth would have been so high up it would ha e obscured people's view of the snooker.
