I’m looking to purchase my first decent snooker cue, any recommendations for a store where I can try some cues before buying?
I’m considering Peradon cues and I’m based in Windsor but happy to travel around 50 miles to a shop with decent range and where I can try on an actual snooker table.
Apart from the cue itself, what other accessories should I consider? I have the following noted:
1) 3/4 jointed cue
2) 6” butt extension
3) telescopic extension (is 23” suitable)
4) no idea on what case to get, what are the options, soft or metal case?
5) any accessories to consider besides cleaning cloth and chalk? Chalk send important, what chalks should I consider?
For the cue itself, what are the considerations?
a) cue length
b) 2 piece 3/4 jointed
c) weight
d) tip brand and size. No idea but read 9.5mm is the size of choice
e) ferrule. What to consider?
f) anything I’ve missed
Excited at treating myself to my first decent cue, so it’s got to be right.
thanks all
