  • Greetings from Down Under.

Hi all. It's been a good 20 year break. But at last, after all my travelling, I am on the other side of the planet in Australia. Settled, married, and with one young child. I can play snooker again.

I was born in South London. I am sure many of you can understand why I spent the last 20 years travelling the globe finding a place to call home.

I have been practicing line ups at a local club and joined their Billiards team, with the snooker season starting in late April.

Much like the previous Newbie poster with the excellent handle "Cue Hefner" I also started playing Snooker at about 5 or 6 when in 87' my father bought me a little 4ft table with the horrible exposed rubber cushions and 1" balls. Hendry is also my favorite, with Ronnie's and his top end positional play close behind. Trump, Williams, and Crafty Ken also.

I have a full size billiard table at home. I am in the process of levelling and rennovating the room that is housing it at present, but hope to have it up and running by the end of Feb. One of the main reasons for joining is to assist with some of the table rennovation questions I may have from the pro fitters here.

Although I haven't played competitive snooker for over 20 years, I managed to fumble an 83 from a lineup the other day? I would assume I will be in the 40's in game play. I have managed a 50 break in billiards competition though.

    Ted

Welcome to TSF Wolfie, lucky man living in Oz mate, I spent some time there years back, just a month holidaying and visiting some friends in Melbourne and Sydney, loved it there.

Sounds like the practice is going well, keep enjoying it. 😉
