Best wishes. I hope you enjoy your time here. There are some knowledgeable players.

My eyes are failing me too.

My soft spot is for Chinese girls, not the lads.

Obviously Chinese players in a none sexual way, living in sheffield we seem to becoming the base for lots of players. Years ago I had the pleasure of doing some work for Dings apartment in sheffield, he spoke very little English but was a nice guy.

Wonder if crucible loses world's in2027 the Chinese players will move on from sheffield. Ii understand many are happy and settled in the city, be a shame to lose the prestige the home of snooker.

Yes agreed, I think Sheffield deserves to retain it's rich history of snooker. None of us really know what is going to happen but it does seem inevitable that change will happen once the current contract expires. If the WC venue changes after that I would at the very least hope a main pro tour snooker tournament continues to be played at the Crucible annually and maintain the city as a snooker Mecca.

After all, not all tournaments need more space and whatever tournament is hosted there will become special. 😉

The way snooker is going I wouldn't be at all surprised if the WC went to china/middle east

Everyone knows the Crucible limited seats are a issue,Hearn and WST prompting Sheffield council to build a venue that more than doubles the capacity may work for the snooker month but what about the other 11 months.Like most councils no excess funds. When wst go chasing the money and move can not see players enjoying playing in massive venues with half empty soulless atmospheres.Having said that if prize money doubles they will except anything, snooker will be finished in 10 years as we no it.

Why would that be anything other than fully justified ?

There should have been academies up and down the country since the 90's when the game opened up.

Instead nothing but furniture pieces creaming the system and endless nattering about the class of 92.

Good riddance it was fully deserved.
