  • Hello from Kent

Well I suppose I should say hello.

New member, I guess I was an above average pool player as a youngster. Then I played almost no cue sports at all for 15 years, but in ill health recently i've been a bit bitten by the snooker bug and i've been walking to my local club a few times a week. Finding it very difficult to translate skills from pool to snooker, but i'm having fun trying.

I found this forum when I was researching new cues a few weeks back, and signed up a couple of days ago. Nice to meet you all.

Hi, welcome to the forum. What stick did you end up buying?

I bought this in the end:

https://markrichardcues.com/products...-series-t3st03 with the 9.5 Elkmaster tip upgrade. Pickings were a lot slimmer at 58" than they were at 57".

En route from China as we speak. Once it arrives I'll post some pictures in the hope that it helps someone else make a decision.

That's a very decent cue, to get you back playing. I had a 20 year lay off from snooker, been back playing since 2015 and really enjoy the game, especially during UK autumn, winter and even spring months with our weather.

I loved the new cues with extensions small and large, I can reach anything on the table and I'm only 5"6' tall, so they are a great addition to playing on a 12x6 table.

        Enjoy your game. 😉👍
