Hi and anyone from Hull?

Hi,
I am Ricky and I'm trying to get back into snooker or pool but struggling a bit to find some one to play with. Is there anyone local who is up for some games every now and then? I am on east Hull area and have found local clubs, just need a few buddies. Let me know if your local, I'm up for teams and tournaments if anyone knows of any upcoming. I know nellies is starting back up if any ones interested in going?

Hi Ricky, good to see someone getting back into things! I'm from Leeds but go to Hull 2/3 times a year so I know the area fairly well. I can fully recommend Tradewell Snooker Club if you haven't already been. Antoni the owner is very friendly and will happily get you in touch with some of the players in the teams. The WDBS Hull open will be held there in 3 weeks time, unfortunately I will be missing it for the first time in 6 years as I am on holiday

As for Nellies, I assume you mean for Pool? I wouldn't, unless you fancied a glass in your face if you fluke the black

Appreciate your reply, I thought the same to about nellies aha. I am more of a snooker player anyway, I like quiet, I'm just finding it a bit hard to find people to play so I was up for either just to get me out and then see where I am before joining teams as I may not be able to commit either just yet, I will take a look at the WDBS as I may just pop along to how things work, shame to hear that as your obviously good to be getting there, I will rake a look as may be worth a day out just to watch..

Yes I have found tradewell and read good things about the owners, I will end up their for sure as it is the closest to and it is where I seen people heading with there cues which sparked a fire, just not much info on open nights but I may not be looking in the right places.

You should keep me in mind when you pop through as I would come to support even if I am not at your level it will give me a bit of time to practice and see were I am to keep up with you anyway aha.

I found social clubs a good environment to find people to play when starting back up in the game. Is tranby social anywhere close to you? Looks like good snooker facilities and friendly social.

Yes it is, it is what I have done in the passed to try get people in to snooker but some social clubs in brum be dead still but full of tables. That place looks great to and yes it is as I have a place over their to, so I will take a look.Thank you for help as I didn't even find them and I been looking.
