  • Hello from Calgary, Alberta, Canada

I played snooker avidly as a young man and have recently (4 years ago) taken up slosh (kinda Russian billiards) at a private club in Calgary. A few of us have started playing snooker and are fielding a team to the International Snooker Tournament in Vancouver in May.

I have acquired a 6 X 12 so I can practice at home. It is being delivered today.

I have a lot of practice in front of me if I wish to compete.

Full size snooker table it is then. Damn you have no idea how I envy you right now. Good luck on your future snooker endeavours.

              Table was broken

The fellow moving the table removed the felt and discovered that all of the slates had been damaged and glued back together and figured that moving the table would finish the slates altogether. The seller had a good look and , to their credit, refunded my money. I had to pay for the table mechanic's time.

It is too bad as it was a 50 year old Brunswick Commercial table with 1.5 inch slate . good rubber and felt.

So I am still in the hunt. I still have a 4.5 X 9 9-ball table in another section of the house so I guess that will do until I find a new monster.

              Thank you for your welcomes.

Too bad about the table, but there are others to be had.
                  Cheers,
