Yes snooker is famous here in Italy, eurosport transmit some snooker match, but here nobody play snooker because in all italy there are only 5-6 tables.

no that are small pin. you must hit with your cue ball the opponent's ball and knock down the pins, the red ball(and the smaller) is used to snooker the opponent's cueball and if hitted give more points. is very common see 3-4 cushion (even 8 cushions)kick shot,masse and other shot like that
this is a nice shot this is a older version of the game but the rules are the same
