hi
hi nick
thanks for the welcome, lol..
i moved to canada to coach snooker and possibly become the national coach..
i have coached snooker in england for 15 years locally, i have worked with del hill for a while and came over to canada after his help, im now teaching the game over here to them the showing them how to play similar to ronnie if thats possible but im teaching thme to drive the ball not the old method of pecking the cueball..
i won local amateur tournaments, and just practiced a lot on my own, at 1 stage i went to the crucible with paddy power, who was interested in sponsoring me at the time...
but i stopped playin snooker after splitting with my ex (women how we hate them)

Do you also practice with Cliff Thorburn, Kirk Stevens, and Alain sometimes?
Would love to see videos of you instructing or playing.

thanks for that Lee.
tell me something...how do you see the fundememntals of coaching has changed over the last 20 years or so??
you talk about the elbow drop and that is something that is quite difficult to get across in laymans terms to a beginner
when i started playing about 25 years ago I was coached by a guy called Walter Ley who under Jack Karnehm became a national coach here in the uk for a time in the mid to late 80's. Were always taught the fundementals of straight correct cueing with a pendulam motion forming with the cue arm. One of his little gismo's or exercises was too get us to cue through a matchbox or little plywood box that was fractionally wider than a normal matchbox. Quite often for periods where it felt the arm was no longer part of your body!!!!!!
Now I am lucky to be able to cue through A CORNFLAKE BOX!
No really its not quite that bad........Its not how well you play its how good you look playing that counts!

Hi Richard,
Are you friend of Noel? I've already opened the snooker house named TOP147. I took it over from my friend. Anyway, it's near Lansdowne mall in Richmond. You can call me at 778-995-8086 if you plan to drop by. We open 2pm - 2am everyday.
