  • Howdy from Boston, Massachusetts

Howdy, folks. I love the game of snooker and have had a good time reading posts on this forum the past few weeks. Thanks to one and all for the entertaining reading.

Now I just need to find a snooker table. There shouldn't be a problem rounding up a small contingent of snooker players, but the absence of a table is a bit of a problem.

    Goals:
    1. Find a 6 x 12 snooker table within driving distance of Boston, Mass.
    2. If necessary, settle for playing on a 5 x 10 American snooker table.
    3. Buy a decent but not unnecessarily expensive snooker cue.

A record of the agonizing search for snooker tables within driving distance of Boston:

Howdy Rethunk! I hope you enjoy this forum. It may be a little different from AZ Billiards though! I hope you achieve your goals in finding a snooker table and buying a good cue.

Also, if you're a pool fan you may not want to look at my avatar picture!

Thanks very much. It seems every more likely that I'll be the one to compile the map & list of snooker tables in the country since no one--not even our national snooker association--seems inclined to do it.

      Grrr. Fie, fie I say!

Actually I don't mind much about the Mosconi cup. Frankly I wish that the American team would change its lineup, but I'm not alone in that.

The disorganization of American professional pool (IPT, anyone?) hasn't helped much the past few years. In addition, although there are plenty of people in the country who are serious about playing pool, cue games don't seem to be taken all that seriously.

Though I've read numerous posts about snooker cues, out of curiosity I'll ask: what cue do you use? How do you feel it compares to other cues?
