  • Hi, i'm new so i'll make the tea

Thought i'd introduce myself in here, been a snooker fan since i can remember.

I also play to a poor standard, I mainly joined to read some of the posts regarding cues as i'm going to buy myself a new one soon.

So, who wants what to drink ?

That's the hard part, i could afford anything upto around £400-500, but I don't think my skill level warrants spending such an ammount.

Ahh but its not the skill level thats important its the level of pride you feel owning such a prescious item!
My mates thouroughly annoyed at me now for showing him pictures of my cue so many time
But if you consider how long a snooker cue will last, and the resale for such cues, you can easily justify spending the ammount. Of course when you come to actually handing over the money you might change your mind, but its a good theory anyways!

You raise some fine points, although i'd have to learn not to drink as much when i'm playing in future, I left my extension last time I played and somebody helped themselves to it I wouldn't want to be doing that with a decent cue.

                  Hi Dan, welcome to TSF.

I know your situation. When I came back to snooker after 15 to 20 years I was willing to spend 100 GBP as I was -and still am- a poor player not worth to use a custom made high end cue.

This thoughts are now gone together with the initial amount multiplied by 20. It is wonderful to have a decent cue.

And you are allowed to buy, have and drive a Porsche without a racing licence. It is the sme with cues. Only cheaper...
I am confused... Oh wait... Maybe I'm not...
