Find a post from the person you want to PM.

Click on their name (top left of post), then click private message.

Fill out message.

When you want to read the reply, go to the menu at the top of the screen and click on notifications and then inbox; the return message will be in there.

Note that there is normally a pop up telling you that there is a new message anyway.

Another classic thread which I remember from 2006 because I was one of the BBC Snooker forum regulars when they announced a large part of the BBC website sporting forums were being ceased and to really stick the knife in there would be no archive. I remember it really hacked off a lot of people and you can't blame them because it seemed completely unnecessary and unreasonable.
