I know who you are fine sir
How is your game and when do we have our next call?
Thanks for all your help on my forum - i need to be in there more..... i am lagging behind you and Terry in posts!
Nic. Why don't you quote the posts you are replying to so everyone knows what you are on about?? lol
Is this better.
I thought i ad to press 'reply' in the bottom right hand corner to reply to a message. - doesnt that work and if so where does the message go if it doesnt stick itself to the bottom of someones question?
The reply button just adds a new post to the end of the thread. The quote button adds a quote to that comment. If you click the multi quote button next to multiple posts then pres quote post on any of them you can quote lots of different posts.
Your status depends on the number of posts made. Something like 30-50 posts you become a member, then different colours adn things. Once you reach 1000 posts you can have a custom title like mine "shiny gold star"

Weeeew exciting. I will go for my next level asap.
What is a thread and how long does it last.
Is it basically a comment that others can respond to?
Is anyone allowed to post a thread?
So basically it is:
1. TSF.COM
2. The 'forums' (subjects) on the home page.
3. When you go into one of those, you get a list of 'threads' that are like 'sub topics'?
4. Then you can get q&a on each thread?
5. Can ANYONE set up a new thread within one of the forums? And how do you do it??
Every individual topic / question is a thread. This for instance is a thread in the "newbies and introductions" section of the forum. Anyone can make a thread if they want to share something or want coment or anything. Click on the forum link on the top menu, from which you can see all of the sections of the forum. If you click on an individual section there is a new thread button near the top under the advertisements. Give your thread a title and message then click the post button.
If you click the banner at the top with all the snooker players on it that takes you to the home page which lists the 40 most recent threads that have been commented on / created. threads with comments you havent read are in bold. if you click the orange arrow next to the title of the thread it takes you to the first new post you havent previously read.
