  • Hello from yet another Canadian

Haha I've been looking around and it seems there are a lot of Canucks here. How strange. But great to see considering the state of the game here. To be honest, I have no idea how I discovered this forum but it's pretty cool. And a nice international feel to it.

As for snooker - I started playing almost 20 years ago and got completely hooked. Played pretty regularly until 2-3 years ago when I decided I needed to save some money and concentrate on work. Stopped playing completely.

When I stumbled across a stream for this year's WC, I got sick with teh bug again and started playing a little. At first I felt completely useless like I had never held a cue before. Very frustrating. I started wondering why I ever liked this game so much. But then one day I found my stroke......and it all made sense again.

When things are going well it's an awesome game. Sorry about the rant. Just wanted to say hi.

                  Sorry, I missed your question.

I used to play at Shooters. Haven't been back there yet...need to get some game back first. The few times I've played have been at the 2 VIP's.

Cool... a lot of guys who would be considered regulars at Shooters as well as most of the guys who qualified for the Canadians come to Annex Billiards to practice.

Tables were newly refurbed for Canadians Qualifying and tables rates are best in Toronto especially for people who want to practice in peace.
Like... $4.50 per hour after 6pm. Less before.

Worth checking out if you're in the area!

                    Cheers.

That's good. I need to practice right now. That's why I'm on the down low. I know things don't change much in the TO scene so there will be lots of games available. It's usually harder to get solo practice time than games.

$4.50 is ridiculously cheap in prime time. How many snooker tables are there? They're BCE's, aren't they? I haven't played there in at least 5 years so I can't seem to remember.

Not to keep asking questions but how about the weekend rate? And is it busy...are there tables available usually?
