Hi Dale. I have been unable to get the two century breaks from your Dad in the 1988 WC first round match uploaded onto YouTube. A friend of mine - who is a computer whizz - has had some problems with his laptop for a few weeks and has been unable to do this for me. I still have the breaks on DVD and would be happy to post it to you for free. If you give me an address to post it to, I will send it and it will be very securly packaged. By the way, your Dad's 140 break was completed in just 7 minutes - Jimmy White never managed to make a total clearance as fast as this at the crucible! If you wish to contact me through this forum, thats fine. Cheers, Mick.

Great break, great talent - really enjoyed watching this. Amazing that Higgins had stayed with him at 5-5 at this stage. I recalled this match being more one-sided. It was obviously around this point when the triple vodka's started setting in....followed by Higgin's infamous post-match reaction.

I used to play on the pro-am tour with your dad and I remember you mum (his girlfriend at the time, tall blonde) being pregnant at the time (possibly with you?).
Anyway, your dad was a great guy and regarded as one of the best amateurs on the circuit and did go on to win his pro ticket. Ask him if he remembers the Canadian who played on the pro-am tour we all played on in those days
