Hello,
My name is Szymon Bartus. I'm from Poland and began practicing snooker in Autumn 2008. After I watched Eurosport coverage of several proffesional tournaments, I wondered how it would be to play on my own. So I found a local club in my city and took some coaching. I'm still a beginner and because I am in the last year of high school I currently rarely go to my club. To this day, I had a chance to meet two people who did 147, one being my current coach.
I hope that I will have some place to play if they admit me to the college in the US that I've been dreming about.
I'm about to buy my own cue. In my club there is pretty limited choice of brand to try with my own hands. At the end of this month I will have some Peradons and one Burroughes & Watts to try.
My other hobbies:
- remote control flying
- natural sciences, especially chemistry and physics (this is the project I'm currently working on: www.aerogel.org)
