  • Hello from Bexhill

Hello, my names Toby and im from Bexhill (east sussex)............ England
Im 16 and I used to play Snooker tournaments for fun at O'Sullivans snooker club in Bexhill, but only did that for a few months, I quit that when I was like 12. I have been thinking of a sport to play on the week days (I race motocross on the weekends), I randomly watched the Pukka Pies Uk Tournie one day, I was hooked, watched so much of it (Higgin's should of won). So now im into snooker again, I've played three days in a row this week, it's mad Im not too good, highest break in these 3 days is 16 but im determind to get better, as I really enjoy the sport. I have a rubbish O Sullivan signature series cue (it sucks, cost like £25 from JJB years a go), will get a good cue when I get a bit better
So yeah, glad to join the community.

Welcome Toby, good game to get hooked on - especially at your age if you can constantly improve, think ime now too old to improve on my 44 highest break (lol)
Are you any good at the motocross ? or mainly just for fun - i used to do a lot of trials riding (used to think it was safer because of the slower speeds, but got plenty of scars to prove otherwise !) now stick to road bikes - been riding for 30 years now - cheers

Yeah, im only young, so I want to get into a new sport that I can play foreverrrrr.
Im alright at motocross, not riding much at the moment because my bike is on ebay because im selling it, working loads and then going to get a 250 Trials riding looks tricky. I think riding on the road is more dangerous tbh, you can shred your skin on concrete Motocross is so dangerous, one of my good friends broke his back on Sunday. He's alright though.

Good thing about trials is you get to ride alongside your heros, everyone rides virtually the same course, i rode loads with Dougie Lampkin (12 times world champion) and Graham Jarvis (was uk's no 2) - no snobbery in that sport. As for road riding - need to be alert thats for sure, and if you do feel the need to speed a little (my highest is 165) pick the time and the place very carefully

Yeah thats the same with motocross, I've road with Billy Mackenzie (rides for england and CAS Honda, last season his sponsors built him a £60k bike!). Its horrible on the roads in winter! I have a moped, just to get around on... sooooo cold.

True - thats when i tuck the bike up for a few months and use the car instead - plus easier to carry the cue case
