  • untreated cue (wax or oil)?

hi all, 1st time message.I play in local league and i have just bought a craftsman classic (2nd hand)the cue feels nice but seems to be untreated (no wax or varnish) i would be very happy for any advice on wat to put on the cue.

Have you ever had a "proper" cue before? It might be you are just used to the sticky varnish feeling. Oil finishes feel much nicer imo. There are plenty of threadds on here about refinishing your cue with linseed oil.

Obviously the sanding steps would not be required if the cue was not varnished to begin with.
