  • Brand New Player - Cue Advice

    Hi there all,

I have just joined the forum and at 19 have recently got in to playing snooker although i've been watching it for years. I'd like to buy my own cue as the ones at my local club in Hatfield are not up to much. I'm looking to spend around £100 is this reallistic? The boss at my local club in hatfield has offered me one of his that he apparently doesn't use anymore. He tells me that a player bought it handmade for about £300 and has his name on a circular plastic bit at the end. He said he would sell me it (one piece snooker cue w/ 9mm tip), case, extension etc for £120 which is what he said he paid for it, the problem is with little knowledge on the subject i don't want to get conned although i do see him in the club a fair bit.

    Thanks in advance

    Michael

Try and find out who made the cue, but more importantly have a go with it, if it suits you it will be worth it. Cue, case & extensions for that price your not getting robbed anyway (unless hes lying to you about the £300 bit)
