I'm not going to make you feel any better either Goku so sorry - 147 in game against a mate and 142 in a match. You do have to bear in mind that people with high breaks like us have wasted alot of their life and money inside a snooker club!
I often use large words I don't really understand in an attempt to appear more photosynthesis.

totlxtc on this forum is the guy I was telling you about who makes cracking cues. Have a look at his posts and there's a link to some of his work. Stamford Cues is worth a look (google them) as well but probably no where near TW. Cheers
thanks for the game yesterday mike. mind if you want to come along on thursday night and meet the rest of the lads in the team and see what it's like your more than welcome. hope to see you then martin.
P.S. going to have a look at them cues now, will get back to you about what i think and how i get on down a northwest.

some times i feel just the same mate, yet other times when it all comes together it's back to being the best game in the world lol. that life as the say.

Had 2 147's, one of them was in a doubles match!!!!

Not played much last 3 years - looking to pick the cue up again though.
Struggling with the game currently, after 6 years away from it.
          92 centuries
          2 Maximums

8 more centuries, and I'll be a happy man.

lol your right didnt make me feel better but if i made a 147 all the time spent and money spent in a snooker club would be well worth it for me, think i better start to practice some.....just had a ridicules session on the baize this afternoon though

indeed it is cannot disagree with you ash, however its getting worse i've just spent 2.5 hrs at the club lost 3-0 my high break was 17 which is appalling for me, safety play was a joke.

suppose the 2.5hrs was a joke if it took us that long to play 3 frames

Cally Can safely say "it was not me"! Lost count of number of frames. No high breaks. I picked up a few tips just by watching Ashbash.
goku When things are going bad I go back to basics. Get my Steve Davis book out and have a read. Just try to hit the ball dead centre and not too hard. Try not to get too upset and just try to enjoy the game.

Playing against my boss and my mate who is really good, but my mate missed an absolute sitter to let me in, and the rest as they say is history, god knows how i held myself together, was shaking like a leaf.

But my 2nd one was even better, put a new tip on my cue - and i hate new tips, so spongy and can't feel the cue ball. 1st frame with a new tip, bang maximum, never run out of position once, never used side, it was all plain ball, cos of the tip.

Them days are long gone, now approaching 40 - hardly play and it is all a bit of a struggle now

It was a close game cally. Not bad though I join the forum a week and already had a game with one other member lol. In my opinion your game really improves when you play competitive snooker? So I hope mike comes along next Thursday and a least gets to meet the other lads in the team and with a bit of luck signs up for us as well we can always use more good players

Highest break in practice with line up - 145

Highest break in practice against an opponent - 123

                            Highest break in a match - 121

Best practice session - 3 century breaks and a 97 in 12 frames

                            Craziest session - 106 break and 5 breaks over 50 and I lost 10-1
Just because its old, doesn't mean its worth a fortune!!
