    Hello Narelle,

I am an avid player, in the wrong country but was wondering if you could post a picture of you playing snooker. I know that some might frown on this request, but I am a very visual person and sure that a lot of poeple would love to see it.
    Thank You,
    Rolly C. sends
I try hard, play hard and dont always succeed, at first.!!!!:snooker:

I haven't seen some newbie receive a better welcoming. Is it because she is a girl? I joined the forum recently, but no one welcomed me

There is an Open tournament at The Castle Club in Brighton (on the South coast) on the 20th Feb if you're still in England. The club is almost certainly the best playing conditions in the South of England, barring the Academy in Gloucester.
I often use large words I don't really understand in an attempt to appear more photosynthesis.

Wales not a good place to visit? Would like to see top class snooker being played though so might not matter where it is
I suppose if you haven't seen top class snooker then it would be ok. better to go later in the week, when you'll get the best/on-form players playing each other.

I went last year but not sure I would go again. It takes place in a small sports hall and there is a distinct whiff of cholrine coming from the swimming pool! Of course, if I had some nice aussie company I could be persuaded to change my mind

PMSL at the photo comment. calm down guys

                  Hi and welcome.
I went to the Welsh Open a couple of years back (I live in South Devon, England) on a Wednesday. I had the choice of 4 match tables.
There are usually some good amateur tournaments on as well. Check out the EASB website for details. (http://www.englishsnooker.com/).
You are only the best on the day you win.

Iksotam I couldn't find the post where you introduced yourself as a newbie? Welcome to the Forum anyway.
Normally newbies get a welcome if they post some interesting facts like what cue they use or what their high break is.
