Hey there, new to snooker. Mostly an 8 ball/9 ball player but found an obsession for snooker are watching numerous videos on the internet and giving it a go myself. Been playing 8 ball for about a year now and only freshly started in snooker, my best break is 20 so far but I'm willing to go all the way.
I have an obsession for the sport and hopefully gonna get some coaching, I actually didn't know there was a snooker community so I'm glad I found it.
I'd love to make a break of 50, right now to me that's somewhat of a dream.
I'm actually gonna go to the hall today and start doing drills that one of my friends showed me. I've come close to winning lots of tournaments but always seem to bum out in the last frames due to a lack of knowledge of the game.

Hopefully you guys can help me out ^^

So I went to the pool hall tonight and started with snooker.
Did the line up drills, worked on my stance and practiced having a clean and consistent stroke. I ended up getting an online book from a friend called 'The snooker gym' and printed off some of the drills. Wow it was hard, so what I had to do is place the white ball along the head string and setup the black ball on it's spot. Using no side with a bit of height cut the black ball into the bottom right hand pocket. It took me over an hour to finally get it right!
As tough as it is, I'm determined. I wanna get good at this!

Hi pHUiii, and welcome to TSF. Sounds like your determined all right! There are people on here who can help you succeed, from the many members who play regularly at club level, to pro coaches, referees, and even top players (though like all true supermen, they keep their real identities secret) so whenever you need help, just ask here, or delve into the archives, and I'm sure you'll get it. Best of luck.

Hi jordan, welcome to TSF. It's great to see another new member from China.

So, you're a Robertson fan, do you think he'll manage to keep hold of his world championship crown in May? I think it's going to be tough for him, but you never know.

Anyway, hope you enjoy the forum mate.
