Mosta John. It may also interest you to know that the twin town of Chesterfield was the home town of the the man most responsible for the development of snooker. The great Joe Davis. What a great country Malta is for enthusiasm for both billiards and snooker!!!. :snooker:

Yes indeed - Joe Davis 'The Daddy'!!! There's still a fair few original Joe Davis cues knocking about Chesterfield. Legend has it, that he used to play challenge matches locally, giving points starts and anyone that beat him he would give a cue to. I've seen some of these cues - the one with the highest break (obviously made by Joe himself) at the time with the year on also.
A mate of mine breaks off at pool with his - sacrilege!!!

Yes i knew about Joe Davis,my father has a cue of him and he is very proud of it,i use a John Parris cue and is also very good,in Malta we are crazy about snooker, and sometimes we meet and play a marthon of snooker, even Tony Drago and Alex Borg play with us,as both of them are very good friends of mine, thanks for welcoming me on board, and its nice to be here, thanks once again...
I also have a number of JD. cues in my memorabilia collection, but the one I value most is signed on the shaft by him in the 1950's. He presented to my after I played him in exhibition. F.
