  • Where are you all hiding?

    Hi im Alan,

Ive always loved to play snooker and one of the biggest frustrations for e is that i hardly meet any people who love to play so i dont get to play half as much as i want to!

My highest break is only 38 but i believe i am a strong match player and i would love to play more and improve.

Nothing would make me happier than to be regularly knocking in high breaks and pulling off my best shots more consistantly!

I have recently joined a snooker team for a conservative club but all the players lack enthusiasm to play and i would like to find another team local to manchester where taking the game seriously with respect is a good thing!

Anyone who would like a regular practise partner, let me know

    cheers guys

    Al

    Al:

There just has to be some really good snooker clubs in Manchester and I would suspect a lot of good players as members.

Try doing a search on the internet or through BTelecom and I'm certain you will come up with a bunch

When I was playing in Britain Manchester was a hotbed of good players. In the worst case, if you have a car there are always good players in every town in Wales and if I'm remebering correctly it's not much of a drive from Manchester

      Cheers Terry

Turning up every week at my local conservative club and having to sit back and watch bad players playing ahead of me even though every time i play a frame i beat them.. Quite frustrating because i 'love' snooker and without match practice i will not improve my game.

Do you know how i can find out if any clubs need players? is there an online community i dont know about because i want to play and play. Im playing better in practice than ever at the moment!

There a host of Snooker Leagues around Manchester.

As Cossie has mentioned there's the Manchester Snooker League - http://www.manchester-snooker-league.com
The North Manchester Snooker League - http://www.nmsnooker.co.uk
The Levenshulme Snooker League - http://www.levsnooker.com
                The Urmston Snooker League -http://urmston.leaguerepublic.com
The Warrington Snooker League - http://www.nwlsl.co.uk

I've played in all but the Manchester Leagues, and they're all great competitive leagues.

I'd say check the websites and look at the clubs listed for potentials.

If you're stuck join our club down the M56 in Lymm "The Bridgewater Club" and you'll be guaranteed matches, and some good practice partners.

Thanks Everyone. Hate admitting my highest break is 38 on a site full of good players but i dont think im far off becoming a good all rounder.. just need to play a bit more in a match situation.

Look forward to hearing from you rob.
