    I disagree with the large amount of people who use the excuse of 'talent' for the reason why certain people become a pro snooker player and some players don't.

    The people who are the most 'talented' in anything in life work the hardest.

      If a player starts at 10years old and trains to become a pro he might make it by 20yrs old, but if a 30yr old starts training I think it would take him probably at least 20years to reach pro level, assuming he was capable as it would be very tough.

      fair point and i would give your opinion more credibility than most. it does seem that the 'old guard' rule and the average age of the top 32 is the highest it's been for years
