Hi, I'm Rob, new on here and just rediscovering my love of snooker.
Grew up in 1980s so was a MASSIVE Jimmy fan (and still am!). Like most kids of my generation had a kitchen table-top 'Steve Davis Pot Black' table when I was about 7 years old, that progreessed into a one year kids membership to a snooker club when I was 13, but played on my own and was never any good cos I spent my paper-round money in about 2 hours of play. Highest break 35. Not been on a real table since
I went to the Crucible yesterday for the first time, for the Higgins -Lee match and immediately got a ticket for Hendry in 2nd round...what a venue, and great audience at the Crucible, you could hear a pin drop! What must the atmosphere be like for the SF and final!! I would place the crucible on a par with centre court wimbledon for sporting arena. And above Wembley, Twickenham and Lords.
Fave snooker players: Jimmy, Paul Hunter, Davis, Hendry, Higgins.
Least fave: Ronnie
Sorry Ronnie fans!
Cheers
