  • Hi all, Brummie here!!

Hi, my names Jay and I'm from the SE east side of Birmingham.
My grandad (RIP) took me to a local snooker club when i was abt 13 and been hooked on the game ever since.
Actually found this site by accident whilst looking for a new cue, maybe you guys can help me in my search.
Owned a Peradon Regency now for abt ten years and i fancy a change. The closest shop to me where i can try out cues only has Peradon so its awkward to trust another manufacturer without first holding it, see how it feels etc. But I've been looking online for a few days now and seen a few cues that grab me, like Powerglide, Mastercue and Cuecraft, but as theres nowhere near to try them out, I'm a little stumped.
Any feedback would be great on any of those makes, thanks.
p.s. my budget is around 150.00

Birmingham doesn't really have many places where you can buy cues from other than Thurstons and B&W Ltd and Burroughes and Watts but those two only sell their own cues.

If you want to buy the cues you mention you are going to have to either travel a fair distance or take pot luck and order over the net.

Personally I would go to Thurstons as they at least stock some Mastercues, at least they did last time I went there, about 12 months ago. Peradon aren't exactly bad cues, in fact with a good selection to choose from you should be able to find at least a few good quality cues as they usually stock at least 40 to 50 in the shop.

Nah, I'm a scouser mate, but I've got a brum niece and nephew-in-law with two beautiful kids. And, we share two of the most disliked accents in the whole world, so in a way that makes us regional soulmates.

It's funny, you often hear someone trying to do a brum accent, and it comes out more scouse, and vice-versa, bit like the Welsh and Pakistani accents.

          Anyway, tara-a-bit mucka.
