Hi bigmennie, welcome to the forum!

I don't know much about all the different cues out there, but there are plenty of people on here who do, so I'm sure someone will be able to help you out. Once I decided to get myself a 'propper' cue, I just went round all the places that sold them locally, until I found one that I liked the feel and weight of. Turned out to be a poweglide, and I've been really happy with it ever since. Best of luck on your own personal cue-quest though.

Hi thanks for your reply i will probably go round the shops like you said and try what i think suits me as i could buy one off ebay and end up not likeing it, and also most expensive isen't always the best either.

      Thanks

Try joining a snooker club that sells cues. That way you will be able to take a few shots with it, which might help.
