Hi to all who's reading. I've been playing snooker for 14 years maybe 3 hours a week for the first couple of years then once a month for the last 12 years if i was lucky. BUT, now i can use a table for 20p for 20 mins so i've been playing 3 hours or more a week again by myself.... I've started knocking in 30- 40 breaks again after 5 months work so far. My highest being 52. I use a burroughes and watts maple cue from the 30's from soho square london W1. a beautifull cue with a 9 mm tip. I buy and sell 1 piece cues also. I love snooker big time. I'm 31 years old and would love to now get into some tournaments now i'm playing again. My first couple of years of playing i never won a frame with my mentor and it was tough but i love snooker that much i still enjoyed every momment. I played pool for a good 4-5 years against norfolk and england players so this helped. I can use side, bottom, top, reverse screw, stun, stun run, center ball striking etc etc etc. Any1 know of local tournaments near nottingham or need a practise partner or maybe i could teach you a few things, please let me know. I'm near Mansfield Notts. Thanks if you've got to the end of this. Hi to all....... COME ON RONNIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!

£12 per hour!!! Thats no different from standing in the middle of the street and asking people to rob you. 20p gets you 8 mins in my club (works out to £1.50 an hour) Thought that was great value but 20p for 30 mins is ridiculously good value.

You're probably right jrc750, but the main difference is aggregate demand (not sure if this is the right translation). It isn't popular in Norway. We only have one pro, and he's born in the UK (Kurt Maflin) so almost doesn't count . Seems like it's growing now though, mainly because of Eurosport I guess.
Sorry for changing topic, btw.

Alright mate, I play for £1 an hour also at my golf club - two tables - not match tables by any means but for that money who cares?!!
If you fancy a knock I'm not too far away - near J24 of the M1.
Just started playing really but getting better every week, highest break not brilliant yet (39) but I'll get there one day!

Hi, yes its a miners welfair in my village. All the old coal miners used it and its like a working mans club. 20p for 20 mins and the table is very good actually so i'm very lucky. Only problem is its only open in the evenings 7pm to 11pm weekdays but open all day saturday and sunday. I normaly get a good hour practice in before all the other locals come in and put juke box on and want to mess about. lol. Its hit and miss really (pardon the punn) I would play more but others use the table also.

Thats brilliant value... Do you live there??? haha... I know a place where weekdays before 6pm its £6 for as long as you like, it opens at 11 am so great value but tea and coffee and food not that cheap... £5 for membership for year and 8 good tables... I would go but playing lots and lots of hours by myself isn't good, pick up bad habits and you raise your game i think when playing someone. I need a practice partner!!! lol...
