Hi all, just joined up here!
Been playing snooker on and off since I was about 10 or so (I am 37 now). Used to be above average probably (best break was a 56, never got close to that since), but never had the patience or temperament when I was younger to get better, even though I used to play every day. Now I have the patience, I don't have the eyesight or time.
Just starting to play again after a few years out, last time I played I struggled to pot a ball. I no longer have access to the cue I used to play with, a Kirkham that was just brilliant, but was my dad's. He has now taken it with him when he emigrated. I have my own cue again now, but haven't taken time to get used to it really yet.
I know I will never be a great player, but I enjoy a knockabout from time to time, and seeing if I can better myself.
I am sure I will be asking for tips to improve, once I narrow down my list of bad habits and weaknesses in my game!
