  • Hi all!

    Hi everybody,

after about 7 years of following the sport I have finally decide to join the snooker forum as well. I started watching snooker on TV in 2004 while passing my A-levels. After that I started playing in 2005 but only did it from time to time back then. I'm playing regularly since 2007 now.
    Further questions are welcome. ;-)

                      Near Düsseldorf, if that helps.

^ Just curious - I live down by the border to Luxembourg and France.

Do you know of any decent places near you for buying snooker tables and cues etc.?

                          Hey Caspar,

must be quite near to Aachen then, I guess.
I'm not sure whether the shops I used to go still exist. Our club has contacts to English tablefitters etc. though.
But should I need a new cue sometime, maybe you could recommend a good place to go.

Hmmm ... I'm not particularly close to Aachen.
The closest city you have heard of is, in fact, Luxembourg (30 km)! The closest in Germany is Trier (55 km) and Saarbrücken (65 km). Then there is Metz in France (also 55 km) - which is the only one where I have seen a billards shop which also carries snooker equipment.

^ coming to think of it ... the closest place you have heard of would be the Luxembourgish village of Schengen, which is within walking distance from here
