          Thanks Dean.

Kev, I'm 28 and play at several places, Usually I like 'Hockneys' Which is on Hockney road, off Thornton Road BD8 (Opposite Mercedes Benz) It is £4 per hour per private room. We sometimes take a few friends along and book the double room (2 tables).
Or 'frame 2' in BD3 but I've not explored elsewhere much yet, which is why I am here.. maybe I can host you once and you host me the next time?

Well maybe sometime we can sort something out but not been cheeky but i am sure you would get fed up playing me if your a newcomer to the game it can be very frustrating at times especially playing someone much better than yourself, trust me i have been there pal
But maybe in time we can arrange something i am hard practicing atm for pontins so will see after Sept, have you been up to cuedos there is always people playing alone who may give you a game or two
I just play at a cricket club not a snooker hall so 20p for 12 mins or there abouts

I am a young 43 who runs around a table like a 21 year old but suffers the day after

I have a wonderful way of making a very simple and inexpensive ball polisher! Costs about £12 and I swear it works VERY similar to professional machines. (And can be made to look the same too)

                1. 10" buffer pad orbital polisher. Can be had at £10 (one of those 130watt things which are useless for polishing/buffing a car but really good for Snooker balls! (you need a professional tool that is 1300 watts like I have for cars!))

                2. And a bucket about the same size diameter.

Method: Start with a little car polish on to the polisher pad, Put about half of your (aherm) balls in the bucket, stick the polisher on top of the bucket with the pad facing into bucket (with your balls inside), then gripping the two together turn the whole contraption upside down and jam the machine in between your legs, whilst holding the bucket firmly turn on the polisher and keep the bucket held upside down for a few mins for the polish to be applied and then buffed off too. Repeat the procedure with other balls.

This may sound complicated but it takes only a few mins and does not tire you out and therefore can be done regularly

                  Something like this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/110W-ELECTRIC-CAR-POLISHER-MACHINE-POLISHING-ORBITAL-/120658312205?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM& hash=item1c17cbbc0d#ht_850wt_907

But I bought mine for a tenner many moons ago, I'm sure they are available for that price :/

I have been playing irregularly (like once every couple of months) for several years.. Indeed the first time I approached a snooker table, I couldn't actually see on to it and used to stand on the stairs of that particular club to see onto the tables!
Its only in the last year or two that I have been going once every week or two but playing against usually fantastic players like myself and on the odd occasion against someone who regularly builds breaks of 30 to 40, THAT is the most enjoyable for me and where I learn the most and play my best game too..

I always try and watch all telly snooker although there hasn't been any for a few months on the BBC.

I have tried to get to Quedos a few times but it is either full or closed (recently for refurbishment) I live not too far from it.

Yes Hockneys is new, it's a snooker and five aside venue based at the old Go kart indoor circuit if you remember opposite merc.

                    20p !!!! Twenty Pee !!! My word..

But do let me know if you fancy a game sometime

I've FINALLY had my blinkers removed [T-h-a-n-k - Y-o-u Moderators] Just done a little tinkle on the old googlebob and come across THIS Kev int' paper!

Article was a couple of days ago, on my birthday no less! lol

Well done so far mate, what little time I've known ya. Wish you the best of luck for Pontins (although I wouldn't have said you're a senior at 43, I mean come on! They say life begins at 40)
