Thank you neil, for the welcome.
I have been playing snooker for about two years now & decided that i needed a good snooker cue. I was looking on the net for some ideas & found this forum.

You will find plenty of quality cues on here . Work out your budget and go from there . Do you not what sort of specifications you want for your cue ?
Not sure of any cue shops in Brum , but someone on here will be able to advise . You are probably best trying a few out if you are unsure of specs .
Let us know how you get on .

        Cheers

hi big bro, i'm from redditch just outside brum. As far as cue shops locally, you have B & W billiards who are superb to deal with but not the cheapest, A & D billiards who would have something in stock you could try by various makers and there is also a thurstons in Aston. If you post your budget for the cue on the forum you'll get plenty of good suggestions!

                Hi BIG BRO.

What type of Aeon cue have you got? They used to make some club cues, and also lower budget cues, as well as their higher end cues. If you have one of the higher end cues, you have a good bit of wood that will last you a lifetime. I just had to get the joint on mine fixed, and had Mike Wooldridge give it a re-finish (on his advise), and it is now better than new.

As advised, B&W billiards are in Brum if you wanted to go and look for a new cue. I didn't know of the other two places, but would imagine you will be fine at either of them (people on this forum don't normally give bad advise).

Otherwise, Check out a member called ADR147, He trades and deals cues and has a decent selection for you to choose from. He'll probably give you some advise as well if you advise him what budget you have as to where to try.
If you want to play the pink, but you're hampered by the red, you could always try to play the brown!
